About Sullée

Our History

Sullée established 2014 .

It all began back when I was a child. I was forever drawing wedding dresses, making dresses out of the bathroom towels and bedsheets, or creating something textile related! I was heavily encouraged by my amazing Grandma, who I would sit and sew tapestry with. This also is where the name Sullée came from. My grandparents had a massive influence on my life and who I respect and would always want to spend time with when I was a child. My grandad was 'Sully' Mick Sullivan Rugby Legend. Sully has always been a proud name in my family something very close to my heart. I felt it was right to continue his legacy, but with my own twist. From Sully to Sullée.

I followed my instinct and began to study in 2008 completing a National Diploma in Fashion design at York College passing with a triple distinction. Once this course completed I went on to start my degree in 2010 Fashion and Design passing with a 2:1. My curiocity to learn about how garments fit and are manufactured lead my to move to London to Study at The University Of The Arts London College Of Fashion Completing a Postgraduate Diploma In Garment Technology and Pattern Design. I have studied hard and the knowledge and experience I have learnt has been outstanding.

After 6 years of studying I moved back home to York where I knew that I needed to put my own input into the industry which is where Sullée was born. I gained alot of experience working in placements whilst down in London for example Nylander Couture. These experiences were priceless and taught my some of the key skills I use today In my own Pieces.
